I would like to welcome you to our Round Rock Youth Spring Coach Pitch Baseball Team. I believe in having fun teaching the fundamentals of baseball, encouraging teamwork and good sportsmanship. It is not all about winning; we may win or we may lose, but we will learn from our mistakes and strive to improve our skills and knowledge of baseball. The coaches will evaluate each player's skills and place them in positions accordingly. I will rotate the players as much as possible so that they can play multiple positions throughout the season. My goal is to place the kids in a position where they can succeed and help the team to succeed. Remember that ALL positions are valuable! We have 12 players so 2 players will be sitting each inning. I will work a rotation to be as fair as possible to each player and maintain records of each lineup.

Please arrive 5-10 minutes before our scheduled times for practice so we can start on time; if you have to leave early, please let me know. For all practices I would like the players to wear a comfortable shirt, baseball pants, socks, cap and baseball cleats. Make sure they bring a water jug with ice water or sports drink to all practices and games.

A few rules for practice and games:

  1. I will be keeping you updated through e-mails and this website. Please let me know if you would like for me to add additional e-mail addresses to my distribution list. For game time changes I will call and e-mail if less than 12 hours notice.
  2. Please do not instruct players during games.
  3. Please feel free to offer suggestions or comments, but please do so before or after games and practices.
  4. Let me know in advance if your son will be missing a practice or game.
  5. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to game time for warm-up.
  6. All players will bat in a rotation. This rotation may change from one game to the next.

Thank you all in advance for your cooperation and commitment. This will be fun and exciting for players and families!!
